Students from around the Northwest Arkansas Area competed this weekend at the Fourth Annual Bailey & Oliver Law Firm Speech Competition. The contest was held this Saturday, February 23, 2012, at the Bailey & Oliver on-site courtroom in their Rogers, Arkansas location. The participants were high school students representing Rogers and Bentonville High School. Having already competed in preliminary rounds, the 14 competitors were representatives of the top talent from their respective schools. Presiding over this event was a panel of eleven judges coming from a variety of backgrounds.
Bailey & Oliver Law Firm through the Rodeo of the Ozarks was able to give back to our community by donating $1,500 to Heroes and Horses. Heroes and Horses is a unique non-profit organization that serves our veterans by paring them with horses as a way to promote therapeutic psychological change. Each year during the Rodeo in Springdale, Bailey & Oliver challenges the cowboys that for every team roping run less than 7 seconds the firm would donate $250. Steve Smith with the Rodeo of the Ozarks said, “We are proud to be a part of this great program. We thank Bailey & Oliver Law Firm for the commitment to this organization and partnership with the Rodeo of the Ozarks. The Rodeo of the Ozarks has a long history of working with the veterans and will continue to support them.”
