Rogers Man Injured in Oklahoma State Homecoming Parade Files Lawsuit

ROGERS, Ark. —A Rogers man injured in the October 24 incident at the Oklahoma State University Homecoming Parade in Stillwater has filed suit against a driver charged in the incident and Shelter Insurance Company.

Kevin Witten, 52, was watching the parade along with his daughter, granddaughter, and other spectators when Adacia Chambers drove her vehicle through an unmanned police motorcycle and crashed into the group.

Four people were killed, including a two-year-old boy. Witten was one of 47 people injured. The full extent of his injuries is still unknown.

Geoff Hamby of Oliver Law Firm is representing Witten in the case.

Chambers was arrested at the scene and is alleged to have been intoxicated when the incident occurred.

“As a result of the collision, Mr. Witten has been permanently injured and is in physical pain. He has to pay medical expenses and will certainly pay more in the future as he recovers.

Benton County Circuit Judge Doug Schrantz will be presiding over the case.
