Arkansas 12 was shut down late last night after 2 motorcycles crashed into each other. The deadly wreck occurred just after 5 p.m., when Stephen R. Moyer crossed the center line, striking the motorcycle of Floyd B. White head-on, killing White and injuring his passenger, Tempa White.
Moyer, who was also injured, is facing potential charges in the wreck, according to Arkansas State Police. The police said Moyer lost control while negotiating a right-hand curve, causing his bike to cross the center line.
White was declared dead at the scene, while his passenger was taken by ambulance to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. Moyer was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Mo., by medical helicopter.
The accident shut down Arkansas 12 by Village Rd for hours, according to the Rogers Fire Dept.
Reports do not specify whether any of the riders were wearing a helmet.
