Ryan Scott volunteers for Northwest Arkansas Emerging Leaders Board of Certification Class by sitting on the panel.
50 years ago today President Kennedy was shot, bringing the nation to a standstill. Frank H. Bailey remembers that day well. He was in the 11th grade in band practice. It was the last period before school let out. Mr. Wood, the band director, stepped into the hall and then came back into the room and told the class, “President Kennedy has been shot in Dallas”. The bass drummer had a transistor radio and so Mr. Wood told him he could turn it on. The class room sat around the radio until school let out.
Where were you in that moment 50 years ago today?
