Melinda Propps joined the Bailey & Oliver team in November 2019 as the Organizational Specialist for the CAT Team (catastrophic litigation). Soon after she added the role of Chief Financial Officer upon the retirement of her predecessor.
Melinda was born and raised in a small town in Southern Illinois. In 1995 she earned two Associates of Applied Science degrees for Executive Secretary and Medical Office Assistant from John A. Logan College. Following graduation, she moved to Nashville, TN and worked as the office manager for an outpatient physical therapy clinic before moving to rural southwest Missouri in 1997. It was here that her career path began to steer towards law office management while working as the Deputy Recorder of Deeds. In 2002 Melinda relocated to Springdale, AR and worked for the University of Arkansas School of Law, a family law private practice attorney, a team of criminal practice attorneys, and she spent 12 years in the Real Estate Division of J.B. Hunt Transport as the Senior Leasing Manager for the department. Her desire to return to the private law practice atmosphere, along with her experience in different areas of law office management, attention to detail and personal organization skills, has made her an asset to the Bailey & Oliver Law Firm team.
Melinda and her husband have two sons. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog Shelbi, reading, attending Northwest Arkansas Naturals baseball games, and singing with the praise team at their church.
